Tim and Brian Men’s Church Group Computer Sponsorship Program

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of god be in that person? ~ John 3:17

The Tim and Brian Men’s Church Group has committed to helping 10 boys living on the streets in Kampala. Our team of social workers has identified them as ready and willing to leave the streets and interested in learning computers. Thanks to the group’s support, these boys will receive full scholarships to attend Shule’s Computer School.

Recognizing the increasing importance of technology and digital skills in today’s world, the Shule Foundation has established a specialized computer school tailored to the unique needs of boys who have been living on the streets. This school serves as a platform to bridge the digital divide and empower these individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the modern digital landscape.

Shule is working towards promoting digital democracy by addressing the inequalities and lack of progress faced by children who are not digitally connected. The Shule Computer Lab is the first-ever computer lab that exclusively caters to street-connected boys. Certified teachers will teach computer classes six days a week.

Shule’s Computer School offers technical training to 10 teenage boys from the streets. This program will equip them with valuable skills that are in high demand while enhancing their problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities. By improving their digital literacy, the boys will become more confident in their use of technology.

As part of Shule’s computer literacy program, our students will be provided with a safe and clean living space. They will also have access to a nutritious diet, shower and laundry facilities, medical care, counseling, clothing, shoes, school materials, and other necessities.
