jackie wolfson Africa ShuleJACQUELINE WOLFSON Co-Founder, CEO and Board Chair Jacqueline Wolfson is a New York-based entrepreneur who has run her own personal concierge business for the past 17 years. She has traveled extensively throughout the world, but has come to adopt Africa as her second home especially, Uganda. Since 2008, she has spent extended periods of time traveling across sub-Saharan Africa, living with local families in rural villages, volunteering in various capacities. She is also a graduate student in the NYU Fundraising Masters Program.
OKELLO KELO SAM Co-Founder and Board Member Okello Kelo Sam is a Ugandan native, a former child-soldier and the founder and Executive Director of Hope North, a fully accredited Senior Secondary School and Vocational Center in Northern Uganda. Sam is the founder and Director of Mizizi Ensemble, an arts and culture development organization based in Kampala, Uganda. Mr. Kelo is a globally recognized advocate for peace and peaceful co-existence through the promotion and provision of quality education.

LESTER WOLFSON - Board Member and Treasurer Lester Wolfson, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist brings decades of professional experience to the Shule Foundation. Now retired Lester spends a majority of his time giving back. He is a member of the Pequannock Valley Rotary, as part of the Freemasons he spends his spare time visiting children in the burn ward of the Shriners Hospital dressed up as a clown and sits on the Board of the Zoning Committee for Lincoln Park, New Jersey.  

Yolanda KerrYOLANDA KERR - Content Contributor and Board Member, Yolanda has over a decade of experience as a volunteer and humanitarian. She is an avid animal lover and soon-to-be graduate from Troy University with a Nonprofit Management Masters of Public Administration degree. She has a strong interest in causes surrounding children and animals, two groups that are often unable to speak for themselves. Yolanda would love to create her own nonprofit organization in the future. She is dedicated to manifesting change in the world and has found a home at the Shule Foundation.

Professor Alice Merab KagodaPROFESSOR ALICE MERAB KAGODA - Professsor at Makerere University
Dr. Alice Merab Kagoda, has been involved in the Ugandan secondary and tertiary education system for the last 38 years. Following the successful completion of her undergraduate studies in 1976, she taught at a number of secondary schools for a period of 15 years. It is during this phase of her career that she made the decision to enroll for a master's degree in 1985. Shortly after completing her M.A., she joined Makerere University as a lecturer at the School of Education where she has been ever since. During this time, she worked to obtain her doctorate from the University of Alberta in Canada and earned it in 1997. She has since risen through the ranks at Makerere University and served in several capacities, including a stint as Associate Dean of the School of Education (8 years) and as a member of the Makerere University senate. A mother of two adult sons and a grandmother, Alice is a member of the Kampala City Makerere Rotary Club and still finds time to engage in voluntary work, especially if it is associated with empowering girls and promoting their education.
