Sleep Out With The Kids Of Kisenyi

The majority of children living on the streets say the worst part of street life is NIGHTTIME.

Once the sun goes down, life on the street becomes very dangerous. Finding a safe place to sleep is one the hardest things for street-connected children.

The two biggest culprits that lurk in the darkness to terrorize the young kids while they sleep are the authorities (those who's job it is to protect them) and the youth (young people ranging in from 18-30).

During the night children are forced to endure beatings, their stuff being stolen, sexual assault and being arrested.

This year our founder, Jacqueline Wolfson will donate her birthday to shed a light on what life is like after dark for young kids who live on the streets. On September 28, Jacqueline, joined by a few former Shule "street kids" will spend the night sleeping on the streets of Kampala.

We will be live streaming so you too experience what it's like for these kids.

All proceeds from the campaign will go to support our programs at our Watoto Mtaani Center that works to prepare children to leave street life behind.
