"Boys suffer just as much as girls. Every day, Shule witnesses the effects that physical, mental, and sexual abuse has on boys. We can no longer pretend that our boys are ok. Something must be done. It's the best gift we can give the girl child."

Shule Boy Mom Program

Shule is calling on boy moms to help transform the lives of street-connected boys in Uganda.

For the past 25 years, support efforts have focused on girls, often leaving boys overlooked. Our mission is to build a community of mothers who understand boys' challenges and are committed to making a difference. You will champion the cause of disadvantaged boys living on the streets in Uganda.

The Shule Foundation, a 501C3 non-profit organization established in 2014, provides essential resources to street-connected boys. We help them break free from street life, reconnect with their families, and support their educational journey, whether formal or vocational. Our ultimate goal is to nurture socially conscious and financially independent gentlemen.

In Kampala's slums, around 5,000 boys live full-time on the streets, driven there by poverty, abuse, and lack of education. Join us in our mission to change their lives for the better.

Get Your Kids Involved

As parents, we strive to raise compassionate and socially conscious children. By introducing your kids to the challenges faced by boys living on the streets, you can help them understand the struggles other children face and inspire them to make a positive impact.

As a BoyChild Ambassador, we encourage you to work with your children to improve the lives of homeless boys in Uganda. This experience will broaden your kid's perspective and allow them to make a meaningful difference in a peer's life. At the same time, you will support other mothers who are striving to provide for their sons.

After signing up, a member of the Shule team will contact you to discuss how to get started. The Shule staff is committed to helping you become the best BoyChild Ambassador you can be.

Here are just a few ideas we have come up with:

  • Recruit other moms to join you in your efforts. Launch a group in your school district.
  • Help spread the word about Shule's work on behalf of the boychild on social media.
  • Organize a drive for in-kind donations. We will let you know the things the boys need most.
  • Start a fundraiser and help keep our programs going. 100% of want you raise will go to the children we serve.

We have many fun ideas for you and your kids to do together that will create long lasting memories.ย  Together, you will make a massive difference in the lives of at-risk boys in Uganda.
