Mavazi Fashion: Elevating Lives Through Style
Mavazi: Crafting Futures Through Fashion
Empowering Kampalaโs Street-Connected Youth Through Fashion
Mavazi Fashion is a vocational and social enterprise initiative by the Shule Foundation, based in Kampala, Uganda. Our program equips street-connected youth with high-demand tailoring and fashion design skills โ providing a sustainable path to independence, dignity, and employment.
At the heart of Mavazi is the belief that fashion can be a powerful tool for social transformation. Through technical training and creative development, we prepare young people to thrive in Ugandaโs fashion sector and define it.
Our Purpose
Street-connected youth in Kampala face daily challenges: instability, marginalization, and limited access to education or employment. Mavazi Fashion responds with opportunity.
By offering structured training in tailoring, business skills, and design, we empower youth to take control of their futures. The program fosters confidence, self-reliance, and income-generating capacity โ essential ingredients for long-term success.
