Celebrating One Year of Making A Difference for Street Kids

Can you believe it’s been one year since we first opened the doors of Shule’s first transitional home in Uganda? Neither can we. But in the last 12 months, we’ve made incredible progress in helping street children take the first steps toward a brighter future – and it’s all thanks to generous supporters like you! Here’s a look at our first year:

As we celebrate this exciting milestone, we are excited to host our first-ever charity concert, on July 20 in Kampala, Uganda. The Princess of Africa Yvonne Chaka Chaka, along with His Excellency Bobi Wine and Uganda's Funny Man Patrick Idringi Salvado will come together for an exciting event at Kampala’s Serena Hotel, to benefit Shule Foundation and former street children who are ready to return to school! All proceeds from the event will help fund the construction of a unique educational facility that will address the issue of the children aging out of the classroom.

Without supporters like you, we would not be able to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable children we’ve met on the streets of Kampala’s slums. Kids like Enoch, who has spent much of his life on the streets, but who is now flourishing in our transitional home – and discovering his passion for filmmaking. Take a look at his first production, “A Street Kid No More.”

Your support allows us to give these children their childhood back. Thank you for all of your help over the last year.
